IED attacks are by far the biggest threat to US and Afghan troops in Afghanistan- responsible for an estimated 80% of injuries and deaths in the southern area of the country are from IED's. The attack completely destroyed an ANA humvee and injured the other three passengers. The soldiers of 1st Platoon have forged a close relationship with their ANA counterparts, including supporting them in their grief.
