Black Hearts in the Arghandab (45 images)
The soldiers of Bravo Battery of the 1-320th Artillery Battalion working out of COP Babur have taken on a tough fight in the Arghandab valley just north of Kandahar City. Trying to meet and gain the confidence of local villagers is nearly impossible when they can hardly walk a few hundred yards from their base. They are at the leading edge of the fight to take Kandahar from the Taliban, and to stabilize Afghanistan.
